Healthy Foodie Hotspot: Bowery Lane

The minute you walk into Bowery lane, you no longer feel like you're in Sydney's CBD but in a chic Manhattan restaurant where New Yorks Food-erati gather for good food and drink.

Whilst the interior is sleek and the decore is dreamy, Bowery Lane really isn't one of those stuffy, uptight restaurants where you feel embarrased to order tap water. Bowery Lane is new breed of Sydney restaurant where the food is flavourful and fresh and the staff are patient, friendly and genuine.

The menu is filled with shareable family style plates encouraging you to taste a bit of everything. Food is meant to be shared and enjoyed in the company of others and Bowery ensures this by giving you food worth every penny.

What I love most about Bowery Lane is the produce-driven menu and the use fresh, seasonal ingredients. The menu is seasonal and constantly changing based on supply from farms.

If you're looking for healthy options, there is plenty to be found on the menu. There are quite a lot of vegetable options available (which I LOVE) and all of the beautiful meats and proteins are served with vegetables, grains and dressings.

My favourite dish of the day was the burnt carrot with Tahini and sesame. Honestly, the combination of these foods together is mind blowing. I was so inspired by this dish, I decided to create my own burnt carrot with tahini. Recipe coming soon!

If you're looking for something more hearty than veggie-fare, Bowery make a killer Rueben Sandwich. It is most certainly up there!

If you don't have time mid-week for a sit down lunch, they also do take-aways. Truly, these days convenience and fast food doesn't need to be greasy and bad for you. Bowery Lane get a thumbs up from me providing quality produce that you want to write home about (or blog about).

A very big thank you to our gracious host Kaz Derbas. Shout out to Wasamedia for the hospitality. Everything was delicious and I am already planning my next meal. Who wants to join me for dinner?!

Bowery Lane is located at shop 1, Level 4, 1 O'Connell Street, Sydney.
