Chocolate Chia Pudding

Love chocolate like I do, but want it to be healthy?

This yummy chocolate chia pudding recipe is delicious and good for you. Even my husband approves.

It's a great snack and perfect for healthy meal prep.

I wanted to make this chia pudding taste super chocolatey. To make it a healthier version, I used cacao and flavoured with maple syrup*.

Thanks to the chia seeds, this chocolate chia pudding is packed full of healthy fats and fibre so it's another great food to prevent constipation and easy to make. If you struggle with staying regular (like I do!), a chia pudding is a great healthy snack/treat for you.

If you have a sensitive stomach, just make sure you don't eat too much as chia seeds do have a lot of fibre. Have trouble with overeating? Check out Keep It Real Program

You can prepare this healthy chocolate chia pudding ahead of time, keep it in the fridge and it's perfect for a healthy breakfast, snack OR dessert!

Feel free to mix this up by adding another flavour that you love, like peanut butter, mashed banana or cinnamon.

Enjoy!

*Maple syrup is a natural sugar source, but let's be real - it's still sugar. That doesn't mean it's 'bad' for you or should be banned from your diet (seriously, you can eat everything in moderation!) but this recipe isn't 'sugar-free' like some people might claim.  #keepitreal

Perhaps that means that this isn't an everyday food, but more of an occasional snack or treat.
